Marilyn Skinner

Marilyn Skinner and her husband, Gary, are the pastors of Watoto Church in Kampala, Uganda. Together they founded “Watoto Childcare Ministries,” an international organization formed in response to the plight of Africa’s millions of children orphaned from HIV/AIDS.

2012 Conference Vision

Love Loud is the banner that we are declaring over Woman 2012. To Love Loud is to love unapologetically, without shame, reservation, or fear. It is a bold declaration of word and action, allowing others to see God in you. We are to be the warmth to those who are spiritually cold, to bring new possibilities into impossible situations, and to do for others what they cannot do for themselves. As women of God, we have the capacity to extravagantly love others because “God is love, and the one who lives in love lives in God, and God lives in him.” The Spirit of God bestows us with an intriguing joy that captivates others and attracts them to Jesus. We are carriers of hope and a timeless bold message that can turn the world upside-down.

To our sisters who have yet to personally experience the joy of being a daughter of God, we are beyond excited that you are with us. Breathe and relax! You are amongst women who believe in you! Our hope and expectation is that Woman conference will connect you to Jesus. He already adores you and is ready to exchange your heartache and regret for freedom and beauty.

As we diligently prepare for you, we continue to speak out Philippians 1:9 over each woman, “So this is my prayer: that your love will flourish and that you will not only love much but well.”
